Summary from Semester1 (individual project1)
Last semester, I decided on my final project, Faster, and completed the initial storyboard and character design. Additionally, I identified the target audience and promotional direction. From my perspective, this personal project differed from previous ones due to the entire process from research to design. Firstly, the importance of setting a timeline should be noted to save a lot of time for subsequent work. In research, it is essential to consider user experience and provide appropriate evidence for each decision. Especially for my research topic, useful information needs to be gathered through social media and other channels to discover the audience, making my pitch more reasonable. Secondly, I believe that Pitch is crucial in setting the main theme of the animation and can directly reveal the strengths and weaknesses of the subject matter. Finally, character design, storyboarding, and animation are among the core aspects of the entire animation and are critical for mid-term animation work. Excellent character design can make the animation more appealing, while a solid storyboarding process can make mid-term animation work easier and more efficient. Overall, I am satisfied with the initial work on this project, but there is still room for improvement, particularly in terms of comprehensive research, such as more extensive exposure to social media and more written evidence in research reports.
Next plan
Moving forward, I will carry out the final preparations for animation production while perfecting the animatic and making final adjustments to the characters. Additionally, I will develop a detailed timeline for this semester. Simultaneously, I will conduct preliminary editing of the animatic's content and add sound effects.
